Core Loop

Eat. Grow. Weave through rising obstacle clutter. Outmaneuver AI snakes that are never faster than you. Chain fast eats for combo bonuses. Use power-ups to reclaim space or turn predators into points.

Power-Ups

  • Ghost: Temporary intangibility; overlapping AI are marked—on expiry they explode for bonus points.
  • Freeze: Stops all AI; resolves lingering ghost overlaps into kills at the end.
  • Bomb: Clears all obstacles; probability ramps with clutter (unlocked from level 7).
  • (Removed: Slow—cut for pacing clarity.)

Scoring & Progression

  • Combo system rewards rapid successive eats.
  • Level increases subtly accelerate pace.
  • Ghost Kill bonus = 30 + (level * 5) each AI destroyed via ghost/freeze resolution.
  • AI eating food shrinks you one segment—pressure with comeback potential.
  • High score persisted (HUD “Best” optionally hidden for minimalism).

Strategy Tips

  • Stack ghost overlaps deliberately—herd AI through your body then time the expiry.
  • Save bombs for dense mid-level clutter spikes (probability rises as board chokes).
  • Use Freeze after a late Ghost to convert lingering overlaps safely.
  • Maintain combo rhythm early to jumpstart level curve before obstacle density rises.

Feel & Polish

  • Afterimages, sparkles, expanding rings, color-shift bursts.
  • Procedural synth tones & chords (mute toggle).
  • Confetti + celebratory HUD flashes on milestone moments.

Controls

  • Keyboard: Arrows / WASD. Esc = Pause. R = Restart (after game over). M = Mute.
